What a day!

It's the end of another day, not just any day however. Today was a tremendously important one for Laura and myself. We were asked to photograph the Diamond Jubilee garden party at Balmoral castle this afternoon.

We couldn't believe our luck when we received the call out of the blue a few months back. All this time we have had to keep it a secret from everyone. This was incredibly difficult, I can assure you!

Despite it absolutely pouring with rain before the guests arrived and a heavy shower in the last half hour, the weather was quite decent for us. You can imagine we were a little anxious when we saw how fierce the rain was at 12:30 when we arrived at Balmoral.

Together with the help of our assistants Laura & Sarah, we photographed over 3000 guests not to mention all the lucky individuals selected to meet the members of the royal family.

We now have over 90 gigabytes of photos of edit before the 21st of August. Yikes!!

All in all it was a fantastic day, one I think we will both treasure for many years to come.
